Sepro Completes Redesign of its Success Range; Three Models Offer Optional Five-Axis Operation
Feb 03, 2021
The prototype of the Success 22X, Sepro Group's latest versatile 5-axis robot, was presented to visitors at the K2019 exhibition.
The company's best-seller, the "Success" range launched in 2011 has just been completely revised. This overhaul allows the automation of injection presses from 60 to 900 tons. In addition to its new 3-axis pneumatic range, Sepro is launching a 5-axis CNC range.
Success Line X is based on the new 3-axis cartesian robot also equipped with an additional 2-axis servo wrist, developed in collaboration with Yaskawa Motoman, allowing to recreate a 5-axis configuration on a Cartesian robot. The latter combines speed and flexibility, for complex peripheral operations elements that arewhere missing on 3-axis robots with pneumatic wrists are limited.
New functionalities for more performance, as Claude Bernard, Product Marketing Director at Sepro Group explains.
Among other advantages, the all-servo wrist can be easily adapted with simple digital commands, guaranteeing greater flexibility and faster production changeovers -- approaching Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) methodology. We believe this represents the future of Cartesian robots.

This allows the robot to move in all 5 axes while maintaining complete control of the maneuvers. The "Success" range offers a new speed of intervention and flexibility to meet the specific needs of injection molding.
